Anchor Learning Academy is the first recovery high school in Rhode Island.
Within 90 days of returning to high school after treatment, 50% of students are using drugs at level at or above where they were prior to treatment.
Student-centered, individualized learning focuses on 21st century skills for success in higher education, trade schools or the workforce. Our student-driven learning plans apply choice and self-management to work towards achieving academic goals.

It can be scary and overwhelming for a teen to begin the journey of recovery. One of the biggest challenges they face begins when they re-enter the school system following substance use treatment. Studies show that teens reduce their chances of long-term sobriety when they return to the same people, places and things that got them into trouble.
The Anchor Learning Academy offers students an opportunity to grow academically, emotionally, socially and spiritually by integrating the principles of recovery into daily education.
